What Signal does
Signal analyzes visible webpage content to summarize articles, extract key claims, identify sources, and generate an explainable Trust Score.
Data collection
Signal does not collect, sell, or share your browsing history. Signal does not send article text, claims, sources, Trust Scores, or browsing activity to a backend server.
External AI services
Signal does not use Gemini, OpenAI, or any external AI API for article analysis. Analysis runs locally in your browser.
Local storage
Signal may store local extension settings, such as panel display preferences or theme options. These settings remain local to your browser.
Permissions
Signal needs access to the active webpage so it can inspect visible article content and generate the Trust Profile locally. Signal uses permissions only for this purpose.
